We, the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the People’s Republic of China, gathered at the 25th ASEAN-China Summit in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, on 11 November 2022.       RECALLING with satisfaction the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations in 2021 with our significant achievements reflected in the Joint Statement of the ASEAN-China Special Summit to Commemorate the 30th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations, in particular the establishment of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which is meaningful, substantive and mutually beneficial;       Download the full statement here

Chairman’s Statement of The 25th ASEAN Plus Three Summit

1. The 25th ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Summit was held on 12 November 2022 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Summit was chaired by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and attended by Heads of State/Government and High Representatives of ASEAN Member States, the People’s Republic of China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (ROK). The Secretary-General of ASEAN, and the Secretary-General of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) and the director of ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) were also in attendance.       Download the full statement here

Chairman’s Statement of the 10th ASEAN-United States Summit

The 10th ASEAN-United States (U.S.) Summit was held in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, on November 12, 2022. The Summit was chaired by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Summit was attended by ASEAN Member States and the Honourable Joseph R. ASEAN LEADERS’ REVIEW AND DECISION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FIVE-POINT CONSENSUS

1. During the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits, the Leaders assessed theimplementation of the Five-Point Consensus as agreed at the ASEAN Leaders’Meeting in April 2021. ASEAN Leaders’ Statement on the Application of Timor-Leste for ASEAN Membership

We, the Leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, gathering in Phnom Penh, the Kingdom of Cambodia for the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits, considering the outcomes of the Fact-Finding Missions to Timor-Leste conducted by the ASEAN Political-Security Community, ASEAN Economic Community and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community, and agreed: 1. In-principle to admit Timor-Leste to be the 11th member of ASEAN; 2. ASEAN Leaders’ Statement on the 55th Anniversary of ASEAN

WE, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), namely Brunei Darussalam, Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, gathered in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, on the occasion of the 55th Anniversary of ASEAN;   RECALLING the establishment of ASEAN by its five founding Member States in 1967, where the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) stressed aspiration of shared responsibility for promoting peace, prosperity and stability in the region through abiding respect for justice and the rule of law and adherence to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations (the UN Charter), the successful expansion to ten Member States in 1999, and the entry into force of the ASEAN Charter in December 2008;       Download the full Statement here
