- The 17th East Asia Summit (EAS) was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 13th November 2022. The Meeting was chaired by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and attended by the Heads of State/Government and High Representatives of ASEAN Member States, Australia, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of India, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea (ROK), the Russian Federation, and the United States of America (U.S.). The Secretary-General of ASEAN was also in attendance. The President of the European Council and the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation briefed the 17th EAS on Food and Energy Security.
