On 1 - 3 October 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia hosted the 37th Meeting of the ASEAN-China Joint Working Group on the Implementation of the Declaration of the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (JWG-DOC) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, under the co-chairmanship of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the People’s Republic of China to continue consultations on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea (COC).

It is noticeable that to contribute to the acceleration of the COC negotiation process, Cambodia has hosted physical meetings two times in a row, once in Siem Reap and this time in Phnom Penh.
