On 1 October 2022, the ASEAN Coordination Meeting for the 37th Meeting of the ASEAN-China Joint Working Group on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (JWG-DOC) was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

On the morning of 30 September 2022, His Excellency LUY David, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Chair of the National Secretariat for the Preparation of ASEAN 2022, briefed on the Logistical Preparations for the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits and 2nd ASEAN Global Dialogue to diplomatic corps of the participating countries, at the Ministry. During the diplomatic briefing, the issues of security arrangements and media arrangements were also presented by representatives of relevant institutions.  

On the afternoon of 30 September 2022, H.E. Yeap Samnang, Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN, Chair of the ASEAN-IPR Governing Council, co-chaired the Informal Meeting between ASEAN-IPR Governing Council with the ASEAN Women for Peace Registry (AWPR).

On the afternoon of 30 September 2022, H.E. Yeap Samnang, Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN, Chair of the ASEAN-IPR Governing Council, co-chaired the 9th Interface Meeting between the Governing Council (GC) and the Advisory Board (AB) of the ASEAN-IPR in a hybrid format in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Interface discussed the Three-Year Work Plan of the ASEAN-IPR 2021-2023, and the Role of the ASEAN-IPR Advisory Board.

On the morning of 30 September 2022, the 10th Meeting of the Lead-Implementing Body for Sustainable Infrastructure (LIB-SI) was held concurrently with the 27th ASEAN IPR GC Meeting.

On the morning of 30 September 2022, H.E. Yeap Samnang, Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN, Chair of the ASEAN-IPR Governing Council, chaired the 27th Meeting of the Governing Council (GC) of the ASEAN-Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (ASEAN-IPR). The Meeting discussed the Operationalization of the ASEAN-IPR, and Draft ASEAN-IPR Annual Report for 2021. Furthermore, the Meeting also discussed and updated the Report on ASEAN-IPR Projects.

On the morning of 29 September 2022, at the Ministry, His Excellency PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, led the Meeting of the National Organizing Commission for ASEAN Summits and Related Meetings in 2022 on the preparation for the upcoming 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits hosted by the Kingdom in November 2022.

On 21 September 2022, His Excellency PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Carlos Alberto Franco França, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). On 22 September 2022, on the sidelines of UNGA77, on behalf of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, His Excellency OUCH Borith, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, Standing Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended the Informal Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) at Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza, New York City, U.S.A. The Meeting had a comprehensive discussion on relevant outcome documents and other necessary preparation for the upcoming 6th CICA Summit to be held on 12-13 October 2022, in Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan.

On 22 September 2022, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, chaired the annual Informal ASEAN Foreign Minister’s Meeting (IAMM), on the sidelines of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in New York City. On 21-22 September 2022, Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the 16th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC) and Related Meetings, via videoconference. During the meetings, the Ministers from ASEAN Member States and ASEAN Plus Three Countries exchanged views and shared updates to strengthen regional cooperation to fight against transnational crime. The meetings also discussed the progress in the implementation of the existing action plans to set future directions.

On 21 September 2022, while staying in New York, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a bilateral meeting with Her Excellency Retno L.P. Marsudi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
