Dr. CHEM Widhya, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Eminent Person of Cambodia in the High-Level Task Force (HLTF) on ASEAN Community's Post-2025 Vision, led a delegation to co-chair the 4th Session of the HLTF at the ASEAN Secretariat in at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

On 19-20 October 2022, H.E. Dr. CHEM Widhya, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Eminent Person of Cambodia in the High-Level Task Force (HLTF) on ASEAN Community's Post-2025 Vision, led a delegation to co-chair the 4th Session of the HLTF at the ASEAN Secretariat in at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia together with the Malaysian Co-Chair, H.E. Tan Sri Hasmy Agam. The First Session of the HLTF took place at the ASEAN Secretariat on 31 March-1 April 2022. The Second Session took place in Bangkok on 22-24 June 2022. The Third Session took place in Jakarta on 6-7 September 2022.

On 19 October 2022, Mr. Heng Sarith, Deputy Director-General of ASEAN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on behalf of H. E. Eat Sophea, Secretary of State and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, co-chaired the 2nd Meeting of ASEAN Disaster Resilience Platform in Bangkok, Thailand. The Meeting was co-chaired by ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) Chair, currently Thailand, ASEAN SOM Co-Chair (Cambodia), and SOEM Co-Chair (Cambodia) with the participation from relevant sectoral bodies from AMS in order to promote whole-of-ASEAN approach in disaster management.

The 28th ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council Meeting

Phnom Penh,13 October 2022​, His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports led the 28th ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Council Meeting. The opening of the 28th ASCC Council Meeting was presided over by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and  Chair of ASEAN. Present at the Meeting were Ministers of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN, SOCA Leaders, and Permanent Representative of ASCC of ASEAN Member States.

On October 12, 2022, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, presided over the opening ceremony of the 2nd ASEAN Women Leaders’ Summit under the theme “Building a More Sustainable, Inclusive and Resilient Future: Unlocking Women’s Entrepreneurship in ASEAN”. Samdech Techo Prime Minister emphasized that the summit aims to promote cooperation and joint commitment to promote women's roles as a key and resilient driving force for socio-economic rehabilitation and development to build a common future and prosperity in the region. Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS)

On 12 October 2022, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Royal University of Phnom Penh inaugurated of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) as a side-event of the 28th ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council Meeting. The event was presided over by His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports and Chairman of ASCC Council and with the participation of Dr. Benjamin Loh, Head of the ASCC Monitoring Unit and High Representative of His Excellency Dato Lim Jock Hoi, Secretary-General of ASEAN, as well as diplomatic representatives of ASEAN Missions to Cambodia,  representatives from all public universities in Cambodia, research institutes and faculties, institutes and departments, as well as students of the Royal University of Phnom Penh in a total of 150.

Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Secretary of State and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, chaired the East Asia Summit Preparatory Senior Officials' Meeting (EAS Prep-SOM) to prepare for the upcoming 17th East Asia Summit (17th EAS) to be held on 13th of November 2022 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

On the afternoon of 6 October 2022, Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Secretary of State and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, chaired the East Asia Summit Preparatory Senior Officials' Meeting (EAS Prep-SOM) to prepare for the upcoming 17th East Asia Summit (17th EAS) to be held on 13th of November 2022 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Meeting, which was attended by 18 EAS Participating Countries and representatives from ASEAN Secretariat, discussed the progress of negotiation of the EAS Plan of Action (2023-2027), and the proposed outcome documents to be adopted at the incoming 17th EAS. The Meeting also touched on regional and international developments of common concerns and interests.
